AI Gateway: 3 Providers, 4 Tasks, BYOK Support

RepairOps now includes an AI Gateway with support for OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google — plus full Bring Your Own Key flexibility.

The AI Gateway brings intelligent automation to four core repair tasks, with support for multiple AI providers and full BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) flexibility.

Supported Providers

  • OpenAI — GPT-4 and GPT-4o for high-accuracy tasks
  • Anthropic — Claude for detailed diagnostic reasoning
  • Google — Gemini for cost-effective processing

Each provider can be configured per-task, so you can use a fast model for note cleanup and a more capable model for diagnostic suggestions.

Four AI Tasks

Intake Parsing

Paste a customer email, voicemail transcript, or walk-in description. The AI extracts symptoms, a category, and priority indicators into a structured ticket — ready for review in seconds.

Diagnostic Suggestions

Based on the device model and reported symptoms, the AI suggests a prioritized diagnostic path. Each suggestion includes a confidence level and reasoning. The technician reviews, adjusts, and proceeds.

Note Cleanup

Transform raw technician shorthand into professional, customer-facing documentation suitable for invoices, repair reports, and the customer portal.

Ticket Summarization

Generate concise summaries of ticket history for handoffs between technicians or end-of-day reporting.

BYOK Mode

Bring your own API keys for any supported provider. Your keys, your costs, your data policies. Configure different providers for different tasks to optimize cost and quality.

Testing

  • 81 AI-specific tests covering parsing accuracy, provider failover, token metering, and rate limiting
  • Graceful degradation when AI services are unavailable — the workflow continues without AI features

Phase 1: Core Repair Flow (MVP)

The foundation of RepairOps — a complete ticket lifecycle from check-in to checkout with diagnostics, estimates, QC, and invoicing.

The first release of RepairOps delivers a complete repair workflow — 12 stages from customer check-in through final invoicing. Every feature was built around how real repair shops actually work.

Check-in Wizard

A guided intake flow that captures device info, customer details, symptoms, and pre-existing conditions. Supports walk-ins and phone calls. Generates a unique tracking ID for every ticket.

Kanban Board

Visual drag-and-drop board with customizable columns for every stage of your workflow. Techs move tickets across stages as work progresses. Managers see the full shop floor at a glance.

Diagnostics Module

Structured diagnostic checklists. Techs record findings, attach photos, and document test results.

Estimates and Approvals

Generate itemized estimates with parts and labor. Send to customers via email or SMS for one-click approval. Track approval status.

Quality Control

A standard QC checklist that must be completed before a repair can be marked done. Ensures consistency across technicians and catches issues before the customer picks up.

Invoicing

Auto-generate invoices from completed repairs. Supports partial payments, deposits, and multiple payment methods. Integrates with Stripe for card processing.

By the Numbers

  • 327 tests covering the full ticket lifecycle
  • 12-stage ticket lifecycle from intake to archived
  • Role-based access control for techs, managers, and admins
  • Multi-shop support built in from day one
