Key differences

Where RepairOps is different

A RepairDesk importer

Connect your RepairDesk API key, and RepairOps brings over customers, devices, tickets, notes, invoices, payments, and inventory.

A quality check before every pickup

A repair can only move to ready for pickup from its quality check: five checklist items, at least one photo, and a recorded outcome.

Customers approve quotes online

Customers follow their repair on a secure link, confirm the email or phone number on their ticket, and approve or decline the quote, with an optional signature.

AI when you want it

AI is an add-on. Bring your own key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, Mistral, OpenRouter, or Z.ai with AI Ready, or use managed credits with AI Assist or AI Copilot.

Built around repair tickets

A 14-status repair workflow runs from check-in to pickup, with required steps between stages and board columns you can arrange.

Plans and limits on the page

Plans start at $99 a month, and each plan's users, locations, work orders, storage, and SMS limits are listed on the pricing page.

In depth

RepairOps and RepairDesk, in more detail

How a repair moves through RepairOps

A ticket starts at intake, where staff record the customer, the device, its condition, and photos. It then moves through triage, diagnostics, the quote, the repair, and a quality check, and a ticket can only reach ready for pickup from that quality check.

Customers get a link to follow the repair. Once they confirm the email or phone number on their ticket, they can approve or decline the quote and message the shop.

Questions to ask before you switch

Which records do you need on day one? The RepairDesk importer brings over customers, devices, tickets, notes, invoices, payments, and inventory with serial numbers, plus photos and signatures if you choose. Message history, gift cards, store credit, appointments, purchase orders, and staff accounts aren't imported.

Which features are in your plan? In RepairOps, appointment booking, point of sale, the time clock, and Google review requests start on Pro; multiple locations and the API start on Business; and AI add-ons start at $49 a month.

How will you text customers? RepairOps sends SMS through your shop's own Twilio account.

RepairDesk's features and prices change, so check its current plans with RepairDesk directly before you decide.

Switching

Moving from RepairDesk

Beta shops get a guided onboarding review and priority support while they switch.

  1. Check your RepairDesk plan

The importer uses the RepairDesk API, so your RepairDesk plan needs to include API access.

  2. Connect your account

The shop owner pastes the RepairDesk store API key into RepairOps, where it's stored encrypted.

  3. Let the import run

The import runs in the background, at roughly an hour per 10,000 records, and brings photos and signatures across if you choose.

  4. Review and go live

The RepairDesk importer is new, so check a sample of tickets and balances before you start new check-ins in RepairOps.
