How RepairOps compares with RepairShopr for independent repair shops, and what moving your records over involves.

Key differences

Where RepairOps is different

Built around repair tickets

A 14-status repair workflow runs from check-in to pickup, with required steps between stages and board columns you can arrange.

A quality check before every pickup

A repair can only move to ready for pickup from its quality check: five checklist items, at least one photo, and a recorded outcome.

Customers approve quotes online

Customers follow their repair on a secure link, confirm the email or phone number on their ticket, and approve or decline the quote, with an optional signature.

AI when you want it

AI is an add-on. Bring your own key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, Mistral, OpenRouter, or Z.ai with AI Ready, or use managed credits with AI Assist or AI Copilot.

CSV import for your lists

Import customers, devices, inventory, and services from CSV files, with column mapping, a dry run, and undo.

Plans and limits on the page

Plans start at $99 a month, and each plan's users, locations, work orders, storage, and SMS limits are listed on the pricing page.

In depth

RepairOps and RepairShopr, in more detail

How a repair moves through RepairOps

A ticket starts at intake, where staff record the customer, the device, its condition, and photos. It then moves through triage, diagnostics, the quote, the repair, and a quality check, and a ticket can only reach ready for pickup from that quality check.

Customers get a link to follow the repair. Once they confirm the email or phone number on their ticket, they can approve or decline the quote and message the shop.

Questions to ask before you switch

Which records do you need on day one? RepairOps imports customers, devices, inventory, and services from CSV files. There's no RepairShopr importer, so ticket and invoice history stays in your RepairShopr exports.

Which features are in your plan? In RepairOps, appointment booking, point of sale, the time clock, and Google review requests start on Pro; multiple locations and the API start on Business; and AI add-ons start at $49 a month.

How will you text customers? RepairOps sends SMS through your shop's own Twilio account.

RepairShopr's features and prices change, so check its current plans with RepairShopr directly before you decide.

Switching

Moving from RepairShopr

Beta shops get a guided onboarding review and priority support while they switch.

  1. Export the lists you want to keep

Export your customer, device, inventory, and service lists from RepairShopr as CSV files.

  2. Import them into RepairOps

Map each column, check the dry run, then import. Customers, devices, inventory items, and services can be imported, and an import can be undone.

  3. Keep your history for reference

Tickets, invoices, and payments from RepairShopr aren't imported, so keep your exports for anything you may need to look up later.

  4. Set up and go live

Add your services, customer message settings, and team, run a few test tickets, then start new check-ins in RepairOps.
